A technique analyzing obtained coating is presented, based on possibilities X-ray spectral microanalysis (XMS) layer transverse microsections samples. elemental composition was monitored JEOL JSM-6460 LV universal scanning (scanning) electron microscope. microstructure studied an optical metallographic microscope Axio Observer D1.m. phase analysis carried out Rigaku Ultima IV diffractometer. hardness measurement FM-800 microhardness tester load 100 g. Data were qualitative quantitative distribution in steel. It shown that resulting consists mainly substitutional solid solution Cr–Fe–Mo bcc lattice carbides. depth outer sample about 20 μm, base metal 25 μm. absence decarburized area noted. average coefficients α-phase determined DCr = 6.6·10–15 m2/s DMo 4.35·10–16 respectively; γ-phase iron 2.95·10–15 m2/s, 2.48·10–16 respectively. 1400–1980 H, 1000–600 HV, 540–510 HV.
